The time is galloping along but, as you see below, I have a new and life changing hobby which, although giving me such joy, is encouraging me to put off the things that need doing!
Christmas - crikey - in just over 3 weeks we're away on vacation - on return I get to see my daughters for just one day before they are both, unusually, away for the actual Holiday. So our family celebrations will be in the New Year and shopping doesn't seem to be a priority!
I will be marking Thanksgiving though in a low-key way, we have family in the USA and it's such a wonderful reminder to appreciate family and friends. Holiday festivities are notoriously hard work for most women whatever you're celebrating so make sure you accept or enlist the help of others to make it enjoyable for all. People do mean it when they offer!!!
A reminder to submit Color Analysis questionnaires by 30th November latest to ensure completion prior to Christmas but Gift Vouchers will be on sale throughout.
I have always said I wanted to play the piano! And at the age of 74 I'm finally realizing my dream with Decplay piano lessons for Seniors!
When I was a little girl we had a piano but my mother wasted so much money and had so much grief from my elder sister that she decreed she couldn't go through it again. So sadly we said goodbye to the piano, I had a record player instead but never forgot that piano.
A recent chat with an Internet friend called me out when she said 'it's never too late'! So here I am 20 weeks in!
I recently had a Color Analysis submission from Stefanie who had found it really difficult to determine her color direction. She said: "I'm a minimalist, I rarely buy clothes and usually black, because most stores appear to sell soft colors for Soft Summer and Soft Autumn. They just wash me out".
With dark hair and fair skin it can be difficult to strike a balance, but Stefanie has very bright eyes which definitely deserve to be showed off with some contrast. I determined her to be the COOL Color Family which strikes a happy balance between the softness of Summer and the dramatic colors of Winter!
She now says: "Thank you so much! I read everything you wrote very carefully and I can tell you I'm SUPER happy with my Color Analysis results and everything finally makes sense 🤩
Now I know why bright lipstick looks overpowering and why pink blush often appears too heavy on my skin, but rosy-bronze blusher works perfectly. And it makes sense why I've always been extremely attracted to purple, pink, and blue and (of course) to silver jewelry 🥰
The Summer colors have always been too soft and the Winter colors too bright, but with the Cool Palette I've finally found my golden mean. I've just ordered the Cool Color Swatch and am looking forward to shopping, yay!
