Although May Day is celebrated in many different ways around the world, I'm always reminded of the sunny days of childhood. We carried flowers and sang as we paraded the village streets before crowning the May Queen.
It sounds incredibly Victorian but, delightfully, many schools uphold the tradition and my youngest grandson will be dancing around the Maypole this weekend.
I'm taking a 2 week break very soon which means that capacity for Color Analysis is very limited for May. If you're thinking of submitting a questionnaire please do so asap otherwise it may be June before I can complete.
Enjoy the merry month of May and I'll try to send you some glorious sunshine from beautiful Mauritius. x
Can you wear Autumn colors in Summer? Yes you certainly can!
Although the seasonal palettes distinctly reflect the changing seasons, if Autumn colors flatter you best then they will work for you throughout the entire year!
Let me show you some easy ways to identify them.
Once you've been analyzed and holding your beautiful new color swatch, a state of panic often sets in when you wonder what to do next?
You'll find all the details of the SUMMER SEASON here so you can assess whether your natural coloring might fit into this fabulous color family. Or compare your coloring with one of our celebs?
But now it's time to take it step by step into HOW TO WEAR SUMMER COLORS.
Forget breaking this palette down into Light, Cool or Soft Summer, you need all these lovely variations to do you justice.
Has the way you think about and take care of yourself been influenced by your life and the way you're treated by those around you?
Nature has designed every living thing PERFECTLY but always with INDIVIDUALITY. You are not and never will be the same as anyone else!
Listen to your BODY TALK and discover the REAL YOU!
Although still at testing stage, a newly developed fabric is the first to automatically warm wearers up or cool them down as needed. Created with two different synthetics; one that absorbs water and one that repels it, it recognizes how the body changes heat in different environments.
It's suggested as useful for athletes, infants,
older people, those with disabilities; anyone needing constant attention to
ensure comfort. Personally I'd say please just hurry up and develop a pretty
nightdress/pj's to prevent the 'covers on and off all night long'
Each month I show a couple of recent Online Color Analysis results.
The 2 ladies below both have a Cool undertone to their skin and, according to Color Analysis theory, both belong to the Winter season. In reality, however, they respond to different color palettes.
Although Ellen (left) has transitioned into grey hair, her natural coloring has a high clarity and she responds to the strong clear tones of Winter. Joanna, on the other hand, even with darker hair color has a softness in her brown eyes that demands the overall softer contrast of the Cool Color Family.
In other words, YOU are the important factor here and how you react to a color palette may not be in exactly the same way as anyone else! Online Color Analysis allows me to show your individuality.
