Hi there
I'm on schedule but it's a very special day! Today is the Coronation of King Charles III as he succeeds his mother, our beloved Queen Elizabeth II, as monarch of the UK and the British Commonwealth.
A day of solemn ceremony, colorful precise pageantry, and public celebrations. There'll be street parties, bunting flags, family gatherings and many a glass lifted to our new King and Queen. Share with me some of the very special recipes that are connected to our Royal occasions.
I was a very small child when Queen Elizabeth was crowned and now I enjoy a leisurely lifestyle. Whereas, at the age of 73, the King took on the heaviest role of his life! A passionate environmentalist, he has spent the last half century striving for sustainability, organic farming and the importance of tackling the climate crisis.
Everyone of course is not a monarchist but I believe in a constitutional monarchy where the monarch does not make decisions alone but in accordance with the constitution.
I'm looking forward to seeing the dress code later today and, in a couple of weeks, I'll bring you some pictures of the full Royal regalia. Enjoy! X
Between 2 Coronations - 7 decades of fashion
70 years is a long time in fashion!
Until I looked back to see how styles had changed between the 2 Coronations, I hadn't realized quite so clearly how much fashion is merely a reflection of our changing world.
As culture, communication and technology have developed so too has our lifestyle and the influences we've been exposed to.

What are we all serving for the Coronation?
We have a growing list of foods with Royal connections dating back 200 years.
The Victoria Sponge cake was created for Queen Victoria who regularly ate a slice of sponge cake with her afternoon tea.
Coronation Chicken was devised 70 years ago to celebrate the ascension of Queen Elizabeth II. And now, we have a Coronation Quiche chosen by our new King and Queen that reflects the changing tastes of a more diverse populace.

Camilla our Queen - her Color and Style
Tomorrow, Queen Camilla will be crowned alongside her husband King Charles III.
I am proud to offer you my thoughts on her natural coloring and figure style.
To this remarkable lady who, in her Autumn years, takes her place alongside our Monarch, we say Welcome Ma'am, and thank you for providing our King with the love, support and strength his role demands.

I have a congenital defect in my neck making my neck slightly shorter and I have shoulders that are very square and raise up at the end making my neck
