How far can we push contrast in clothing colors?

QUESTION

Your quiz put me in the warm category. Indeed I look amazing in spicy tones like mustard and rich rust. However I find myself constantly reaching for black, cream and beige prints. This combination is far bolder than my natural contrast in coloring which is golden olive skin, deep earthy blue eyes and an odd taupe/copper hair color. Any suggestions or comments?

ANSWER

Hello Darragh

I'm glad the quiz confirmed your Warm coloring as these are the colors you enjoy wearing.

If your instincts are drawing you towards adding a bolder contrast then go with it. Your natural coloring sounds beautiful and quite dramatic.

It sounds as if you have bright eyes and some depth to your genetic coloring and you can well afford to add in the crisp neutrals to balance this brightess.

Very often if natural coloring is Warm Deep or Warm Bright, black can be the perfect foil for the strong rusts and deep tomato red.

So the easy but best answer is go with what looks good and obviously feel good for you.

Enjoy!

kind regards
Pamela
